Anger Management is A Specialty Deserving Attention By A Specialist

Whether self-referred or mandated by authorities, anger management is a beneficial treatment to learn about tools, triggers, cues and the role family and relationship histories play in emotional management.

Individual or Family Counseling

Jodi offers a brief anger management alternative using Cognitive-Behavioral techniques, for those who don't qualify for court-ordered 52-week programs. Standard treatment will be 10 weeks for individuals, couples or families with one session per week. Longer term therapy is available for those looking for more structure and on-going support.

Treatment is built upon understanding the health and normalcy of anger. Addressing the negative cognitions or thoughts that influence anger, Jodi is then able to connect the patterns of dysfunctional behaviors that follow. Ultimately the result is a healthy understanding of the nature of anger, its function and use of assertiveness skills to accomplish needs for better work, social and family functioning.

Anger management can be used in conjunction with current, on-going therapy with other providers that won't duplicate services, but rather augments the original therapy.
