Professional Development

Parental Identity Discovery™ Training

Parental Identity Discovery™ is an original 3 CE unit course thoughtfully integrating a unique combination of grief, trauma, and family systems skills to support the DNA discovery population such as non-paternal events (NPE), falsified or misled parentage.

The objective is to help NPE clients assimilate the unwanted changes in their identity, mood, and family dynamics while increasing coping skills and self-actualization. This multimodal, multimedia course provides a sophisticated understanding of the clinical implications of NPE and teaches specific clinical interventions. A unique and growing subpopulation of grief and trauma, NPE have specific needs not often met in a single mental health professional until this course.

I pioneered Parental Identity Discovery™ to provide a cohesive, integrated protocol dedicated to this growing and often misunderstood population. As an NPE myself, I experienced the profound struggle with identity, grief, and unwanted changes in family dynamics personally.

Professional Case Consultations

Case consultations are available to colleagues world wide in the mental health field to facilitate successful resolution of DNA discovery issues, including identity crises, identity formation and family dynamics.

Speaking Engagements

As an expert in DNA discovery and identity, I speak about the importance of identity and belonging, the influence of family and culture in belonging, and patterns that play out in world relationships such as social and work circles.

Incorporating more than 16 years of clinical experience with new work and research in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology field, I integrate original family patterns with work life using engaging stories and humor.
